Dragon Quest will ease campus navigation and event involvement for Drexel faculty, students, and staff.

The purpose of this application is to guide faculty, students, and staff across the multiple buildings found throughout the Drexel University campus while also providing real time updates on university events or information in the user’s immediate area. Drexel has a large and expanding campus with a large variety of buildings that cover several blocks throughout the city of Philadelphia. As a result, traversing between classes can be difficult and confusing for both faculty and students. Student schedules also add to the problem by providing unclear classroom codes, which can be hard for new students to decipher as there are multiple buildings with similar names. 
With all the opportunities to be involved, coupled with the challenge of 10 week terms, it is important to provide visibility to these events and geofencing is a great opportunity to increase participation. Geofencing can inform students about nearby Drexel events and advertise any deals that Drexel affiliated restaurants or stores are offering. Currently at Drexel, there is not a solution to guide students to a specific location during an emergency. This application could direct students to specific locations on campus during emergencies.
