Mycosystem

Project Title "Mycosystem is a game where you play as a field biologist in the post-fungus apocalypse. It is up to you to explore, survive, and foster a healthy ecosystem. Each animal and fungus reacts to the time of day, weather, and each other! As a field biologist you have many tasks. For example, planting fungus in desolate environments, discovering new species of animals and fungi, and stopping invasive species before they spread."

"Mycosystem has many complex systems such as a procedurally generated environment, flora and fauna behaviors, and events that trigger based on what's happening the world. This is a game driven by the environment where you are free to make their own goals. Whether that be exploring the deep chasms, planting the lush fungal gardens, or destroying the entire world, you have the freedom to do what you want."

Animal Concept Art

"Each mushroom and animal will have a state machine. For those who aren't familiar with state machines, they are a basic set of rules that an AI follows based on stimuli. In this concept art, it illustrates a Cordycep Mushroom killing a Frog Animal from the inside out."
