StockBox

StockBoxStockBox is a website which aims to provide an educational look at investing in the stock market. There are interactive, story-based components to explain the basics of what investing is and why one would want to do it, an educational section to explain different finance topics to users, and a simulation section which graphically simulates how a custom-configured stock portfolio might change in value over time, allowing the user to drill down into what an actual investment scenario for them could look like.

Simulation Page

The main focus of the simulation page is the simulator that allows the user to view and analyze aggregated portfolio performance over time in the form of an interactive graph. A user adds stocks to the portfolio on the left and then runs simulations on portfolio data on the right.

The search feature allows the user to look at stock data contained in the application’s database. Performing a search from the navigation bar’s search bar brings the user to the search results page which contains a list of results for that search.
