Smart Target

Smart Target

Smart Target is technological solution that uses software and hardware components to accurately track and parse targeting data. Users shoot projectiles at targets that are the focus of a camera that captures their point of impact. A mini computer then uses computer vision to calculate data pertaining to shot accuracy and projectile groupings which is then relayed to a mobile application. The targeting data is displayed to the application user with the option to save the data for future use or erase it. After each round, targets can be replaced or reused to an extent. This solution can be utilized in multiple scenarios from shooting and archery sports to military or police training.

Green shots are considered on-target, and shots that are circled in red are off-target. Yellow borders outline the targets themselves. Once all the on-target shots have been accounted for, further calculations are made to determine precision.
