2017-2018 Senior Project - FAA JTA Database System

Project TitleThis project is to design and implement a system that addresses the issues and limitations of the usage of Job Task Analysis (JTA) data files from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The system is comprised of a front-end user interface that is used to interact with a back-end database, and is hosted on the organization's network. The system provides users with the ability to modify and query data found in the JTA excel files from the database. The system also support the creation and modification of user-defined reports, which increase the visibility and utility of the JTA excel file. In addition, the system not only consolidates current datafiles as well as allows for other datafiles to be added after the initial implementation, but also complies with the FAA’s established guidelines for data management and security, which govern the ways the JTA files can be stored, accessed, and utilized.
