2016-2017 Senior Project - Nebula

Nebula There have been many advances in virtual and augmented reality over the past few years. These technologies are new and exciting, and finally feel like “the future” we see in movies and television. Currently, the primary focus of these technologies is mostly entertainment related, like games and cinema-like experiences that you just watch.

Using the Microsoft Hololens, we set out to improve the process and capabilities of online shopping. With augmented reality and our application, users are able to view their potential purchases right in their own room in a 3D environment. Users will be able to upload their own items, images, and listings to our online 3D storefront. Since you can see how well your object fits, or get a complete 360 degree view before you buy, it makes for a much more effective and worry-free shopping experience than anything available today.
