The video Today, Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia, serves as one of the most relied upon compilations of human knowledge for
the internet users. However, often a times a user seeking 'knowledge' is compelled to "know" what they are looking for,
to look that up onto Wikipedia, and to read large amount of text to expand their knowledge.
Diggly reverses this approach.
Diggly is a smart Wikipedia visualization explorer designed for anyone wanting to discover what interests them.
The idea is to allow a user to discover different topics on Wikipedia and only explore relationships between them prior to reading about them in detail, as they do today. Diggly's node-edge based interface shows minimal details regarding the topics while giving the end-user the option to 'dig into' the broader ones only if interested. Diggly uses smart algorithms and tools to
provide the infrastructure to the user and is also user-driven. User interaction and choices greatly influence the topics that are featured on Diggly from time to time, therefore tailoring Diggly to what interests users as opposed to being a vast, detailed knowledgebase.
