Ayuda

Project Title

Many students are frustrated and unsatisfied with their Drexel experience. Incoming freshman transitioning from high school to college often have a difficult time adjusting to a new environment. As a result, students may feel hesitant to express their true interests or step outside their comfort zone in fear of failing, being negatively judged or not meeting others’ expectations. These variables directly influence students’ academic, social and professional success and development. Ayuda serves as a way to connect students who can answer questions on a case by case basis, or make make real connections as mentors and mentees. All members of the Drexel community that create a user profile will be able to participate as a mentor, mentee, or non-active participant. Ayuda is a way connect the Drexel community across all majors and interests, thus increasing the sense of community on Drexel’s campus.
