- Vanessa (the mostly white one) is a "Van-alike." That is, she has the appearance and attitudes of a Turkish Van , but we got her at the Chester County, PA SPCA. Her brother was a yellow tabby. She was named after Vanessa cardui, the Painted Lady butterfly (for the orange and black bits).
- Snodra (the dark one) is a
Norwegian Forest Cat
. She's named after a minor goddess in the Eddas.
