Broadband Provision

GISSA is actively involved at the federal level with the telecommunications policy community in the United States. Recent contributions include the dissemination of "early results" from a spatial analysis of the new national broadband map. Previous work includes developing spatial econometric approaches for forecasting broadband provision at the local level, examining the efficiency of broadband provision throughout the U.S., evaluating broadband service quality with respect to local infrastructure systems and the role that broadband plays in local economic development.
