It is your responsibility to ensure that all materials
required for the evaluation of your application are received before
the deadline. If your application is incomplete by the deadline
date, it may not be evaluated for the term requested.

need your admissions materials prepared at the time of your

Students applying to the PhD in Information Studies
should follow the stated requirements and read the corresponding
information below carefully.
PhD in Computer Science Admissions Requirements
- A completed application - FREE when submitted online.
- Official final transcripts from ALL Colleges/Universities
- Graduate Record Examination
(GRE) Scores (scores must be five years old or less).
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Essay/Statement of Purpose.
- Current Resume.

International students must meet the above requirements in
addition to the following:
- Official Test of English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL) Scores. The test can be preliminarily waived for
applicants who have a completed undergraduate or graduate degree
from a U.S. based institution. Note: scores older than 2 years will
not be accepted and students must obtain a 600 on the written exam
or a 100 on the Internet based exam.
Note: I-20 form and accompanying bank documents are required
for international applicant matriculation.

Please be advised that you must have submitted a complete
application with all advised materials by the
deadline to be reviewed for admission.
New doctoral students are only admitted in the Fall term. CCI
operates on a Quarter system. Each term is approximately 10

Funding Your Education
Full-Time PhD students have the opportunity to receive a
research assistantship which includes tuition and academic fees in
addition to a stipend. We do not currently offer scholarships for
doctoral students. If you do not receive an assistantship, are a
part-time student, or seek additional aid please contact Drexel Central for more
specific information regarding financing options and the financial
